Peninsula Dermatology is pleased to introduce the HydraFacial system.
What is HydraFacial?
HydraFacial merges innovative technology with key elements of an advanced facial to achieve better results in a faster, more convenient treatment. The overall goal of HydraFacial is to improve skin health. The serums used in the treatment increase the uptake of antioxidants in the skin when compared to manually applying creams to the skin.
How does HydraFacial work?
HydraFacial is performed using a vacuum based skin abrasion tip, known as the Hydropeel™ Tip which delivers specially formulated serums as it treats. HydraFacial is ideal for getting someone red carpet ready by giving their skin a fantastic glow and by effectively clearing up their skin before an important event.
HydraFacial can perform painless extractions on clogged pores using gentle suction that avoids irritating the skin. This is great for clearing breakouts that occur at stressful times or just before important events.
How long does a HydraFacial treatment take?
The treatment usually takes around 30 minutes and you can return to work or other activities immediately after treatment. Any redness will dissipate within 5-10 minutes of finishing the treatment.
How many treatments are recommended?
Most people feel an instant improvement in their skin after each treatment. Over the first 4-6 treatments most people see the results lasting for longer after each treatment. At about the 6th treatment the skin health starts to peak and results stay consistent. At this point the patient can either choose to maintain the result with regular maintenance HydraFacial treatments or they can move onto other advanced treatments that will create long lasting results (eg. Collagen stimulation with laser or IPL).
What is the cost of a HydraFacial treatment?
An individual HydraFacial treatment costs $180.
As a special introductory offer, Peninsula Dermatology is now offering a package of 5 treatments for $750 (eg $150 per treatment).
