COVID-19 update

At Peninsula Dermatology we care about the health and safety of our patients, staff and community. With increasing concerns around the corona virus we have implemented a number of strategies to ensure safety of everyone at the practice.

Peninsula Dermatology remains open and is still treating patients however we have the following measures in place:

The practice

  • Sanitising stations are located throughout the practice - please sanitise your hands both on entry and exit.

  • Waiting rooms have been modified to ensure appropriate social distancing measures are in place. We also encourage patients to contact the practice on arrival and you may choose to wait in your car until your appointment.

  • All contact surfaces (eg benches, door handles, EFTPOS machines etc) are regularly cleaned with disinfectant during the day and a full hospital-grade clean of the entire practice is performed each night.

  • A barrier is in place to protect reception staff. Please avoid using cash payments where possible.

  • Our phototherapy machines are cleaned between patients with hospital grade disinfectant.

The staff

  • Will not attend work if they have cold/flu/viral symptoms or any contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19

  • Will wash or sanitise hands before and after any patient contact.

Patients

  • Please sanitise your hands on entry to the practice.

  • Where possible please attend your appointment alone

  • We ask that you DO NOT attend the practice if you meet any of the following criteria:

    • Cold/flu/viral symptoms of any kind

    • Temperature above 37.6 degrees

    • Contact with a known COVID-19 case

Peninsula Dermatology has implemented telehealth consultations to enable us to continue providing medical care to our patients.
